Jack Clarke enjoyed some promising times in his first season of Formula Two after finishing fifth in the 2008 Formula Palmer Audi Championship.

After solid performances in Valencia and Brno, his season was boosted by an excellent showing in Spa-Francorchamps where Clarke qualified 12th and 13th for the two races - his best result of the season. A storming drive then saw him come through the field in race one, Clarke improving seven places to eventually claim a season's best fifth-place finish at the Belgian Grand Prix circuit.

Such determined drives became the hallmark of Clarke's season, with the Briton improving by a total of ten places in the two races at Donington Park before making up eight places to come through from 15th on the grid and finish seventh in Oscherleben - his second points haul of the season.

Jack's single seater career stretches back to 2006 when he competed in Formula BMW UK. He contested the BMW World Final at the end of the year, before a move into Formula Palmer Audi in 2007 yielded instant success, with Jack collecting two wins and six podiums on his way to finishing fourth in the overall standings. He returned to the series in 2008, winning 2 races and taking seven podiums, whilst also winning races in both the 2007 and 2008 FPA Autumn Trophies.
