Jokinen graduates to the series after starring on his Formula
Two debut at the winter test in Valencia last December, setting the
fastest time on the opening day. He continued his good form by
topping another session in Portimao, Portugal, and remained a
consistent frontrunner during the winter testing programme.
He raced in the F3 Euro Series with the Kolles and Heinz Union
team in 2009, having previously finished fourth in the 2008 Formula
Renault 2.0 NEC series, where he scored one victory and four podium
finishes. He also contested selected races in the ultra competitive
Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. Prior to that, Jokinen enjoyed a
superb maiden season in car racing by finishing as the overall
runner-up in Formula Ford Denmark, claiming the Formula Ford Junior
Cup in the process.
