Broadcast to millions of people in almost 40 countries
worldwide, the battle for the 2011 FIA Formula Two Championship
title provided a fantastic spectacle for race fans.
After 354 laps, seven different race winners and almost 11 hours of
racing, it was 21-year-old Italian Mirko Bortolotti who secured the
overall honours, together with a Williams F1 test in Abu
Dhabi.
This year's 16 races, taking place over seven different countries,
produced some outstanding racing as well as edge-of-the-seat action
from Christopher Zanella's superb maiden win in Magny-Cours to
Johannes Theobald's dramatic airborne crash at the Red Bull
Ring.
