Outstanding global TV coverage for F2
The FIA Formula Two Championship benefits from an outstanding TV
package with it being broadcast live as a flagship championship for
the Motors TV network in Europe, along with live video streaming on
the official F2 website, free to air across the world.
Available in 38 countries, Motors TV shows the F2 races live as
part of an hour-long programme and includes pre-race build-up,
podium and post-race interviews. Each race is shown without
interruptions or adverts, and fixed start times means races are
broadcast at regular slots throughout the season - just as with
Formula One.
To supplement its coverage on Motors TV, Formula Two is working
with the Performance Communications Group (PCG) and Greenlight TV
to secure wider distribution of race highlights. The partnership
ensures a huge global reach, with F2 race footage being broadcast
to a global potential of more than a billion households in key
areas including Europe, the Americas, Australia, South Africa and
all of Asia.
In addition, Formula Two owns all rights and ownership of its
footage and consequently has the ability to send footage direct to
a driver's local news channel anywhere in the world as and when it
is required. It is also possible for F2 to provide a live TV feed
to any local network as requested.
Key attributes of Formula Two's 2012 TV Coverage
include:
- All 16 races shown in full as part of a one hour
program on Motors TV
- F1-style fixed timings for races
- All races to receive several repeat screenings
- Every race to be streamed live and free to air on the
official F2 website
- More than 100 hours total broadcast time across the Motors TV
network, which spans 38 countries and broadcasts to more than 21
million homes in Europe.
