F2 to light up live action arena at Autosport International
McLaren Autosport Award winner Oliver Rowland to entertain crowds in JPH1B car
2011 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Oliver Rowland will be
entertaining motorsport fans at the Birmingham NEC when he
demonstrates the FIA Formula Two Championship Williams JPH1B at
Autosport International, regarded as the world's greatest indoor
motorsport show, on 12-15 January 2012.
Rowland triumphed over five talented young rivals to clinch the
coveted accolade, joining an illustrious role of honour that
includes F1 stars Jenson Button, David Coulthard and Paul Di
Resta.
The six finalists demonstrated their skills in an assessment
shootout in the 500bhp Williams F1-designed Formula Two car, before
their performances were reviewed by a panel of expert judges.
As part of his prize, Rowland will perform some F2 display laps in
the Live Action Arena, the UK's largest indoor race track, at
Autosport International 2012.
Autosport International marks the start of the motorsport season,
with over 80,000 fans travelling from throughout Europe to enjoy
racing car displays and celebrity appearances.
Highlights at the 2012 show will include interviews and autograph
sessions with F1's Paul Di Resta, Jake Humphrey and David
Coulthard, the F1 Racing Grid - an impressive display of this
year's Formula One cars - and a tribute showcasing the Grand Prix
machinery of Ayrton Senna.

present at Autosport International: visit Hall 20, Stand 2720 to
