Tickets now available for F2 season opener
Advance tickets on sale now for rounds one and two at Silverstone
Tickets for the opening rounds of the 2012 FIA Formula Two
Championship at Silverstone on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April are
now available to F2 fans.
Held at the home of the British Grand Prix, the opening rounds of
the F2 series always provide a great spectacle with packed grids of
young international drivers eager to get their seasons off to a
winning start.
Last year saw eventual champion Mirko Bortolotti open his F2
campaign with a lights-to-flag victory, with Spaniard Miki Mornas
also claiming his maiden win. British driver Will Bratt was also
able to impress in front of his home crowd, securing a podium in
Saturday's race one.
The event will also mark the debut for the new 2012-spec F2 car
which features an upgrade performance package including carbon
composite brakes, to reduce weight and improve performance, and new
Yokohama tyres. These developments will see the car lap around two
seconds a lap faster than the 2011 version.
In addition to the two F2 races, there will also be a wide range of
support series competing over the weekend with advanced day tickets
costing just £9 (around €11) and advance weekend tickets
priced at £15 (€18). Tickets on the gate cost £10
(€12) per day with children aged 15 and under going
free.
