Rookie Prize
New for Formula Two in 2012 is the introduction of a prize
for rookie drivers with the top rookie being awarded two
days of winter testing.
Last year saw 14 newcomers take part in the series including
Christopher Zanella and Ramon Piñeiro who finished an
impressive second and third in the overall drivers'
standings.
In 2012, any driver who has competed in less than two F2 rounds
before the start of the season will automatically become eligible
with the winning driver being the one to have scored the most in
the final championship standings.
The winner will then receive two free days of testing during the
championship's regular winter test programme which takes place at a
top European circuit, helping them prepare for a second successful
season in Formula Two.
